Most blogs, radio, TV, films, etc. are opportunistic toward the “timely”.

Lasting value is atemporal. Keen insights, like the book of Proverbs, Plato, Derrida, Proust, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Thomas Jefferson on Anarchy/Liberty, and the Lotus of the True Law, never go out of relevance.

I can’t really explain it — my mind just plays with concepts like jigsaw puzzle pieces, and I like the feeling when the pieces mesh into a neat analogy.

The whole genesis of the “My Quotes” category was a means to capture the little quips that came to me when I was commenting on other people’s blogs. (For a while, I had a reputation for writing better comments that blog posts.)

By the way… My Quotes have their own RSS feed. I was going to re-syndicate them on a page on Occam’s RazR, but never got around to styling it. Add that to the to-do list.

Thanks again for appreciating the quotes. Explosive epiphanies are easy; packing them back in the bullet is hard.
