Thanks Steven... you've mentioned some rarefied company. I'll settle for being a more temporary kind of timeless. ;)

I agree completely. My highest traffic posts in Google Analytics are articles like "Dangers of Personal Blogging" and "Comment Spammers: Internet Pigs and How They Feed".

Most blogs, radio, TV, films, etc. are opportunistic toward the "timely".

Lasting value is atemporal. Keen insights, like the book of Proverbs, Plato, Derrida, Proust, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Thomas Jefferson on Anarchy/Liberty, and the Lotus of the True Law, never go out of relevance.

Thanks for making this a regular hang-out, Adam.

I can't really explain it -- my mind just plays with concepts like jigsaw puzzle pieces, and I like the feeling when the pieces mesh into a neat analogy.

The whole genesis of the "My Quotes" category was a means to capture the little quips that came to me when I was commenting on other people's blogs. (For a while, I had a reputation for writing better comments that blog posts.)

By the way... My Quotes have their own RSS feed. I was going to re-syndicate them on a page on Occam's RazR, but never got around to styling it. Add that to the to-do list.

Thanks again for appreciating the quotes. Explosive epiphanies are easy; packing them back in the bullet is hard.

Hi again Ike,

"You can't get rich selling timeshares in sand castles."

WHERE do you get these gems?! Please tell me, I must know. Show me how...do you sit in cafes until it just comes to you? Please share the wealth.

I've been excitedly following your material for the past little while as you know, and I just shared it with my playwrighting friend Sandra in L.A.

What a wonderful post!

See if you can catch Seth's clip on YouTube called:

"Ideas that spread, win." It really hits the node.

Your friend,
Adam Daniel Mezei

Let?s all count our blessings and thank our mentors; this should be a meme, it really should...

Special thanks to Ike Pigott for his post today titled ?Timeless.? It inspired me to finish this one, which has been sitting in the queue for 3 weeks. Thanks, also, to Judy Gombita for reminding me of the importance of positive dialog....
