Back in the day, you'd NEVER admit to watching the competition. It was sacriliegous and scandalous- everything you'd need is provided by The Station. Whyever would you stray? Now, it's much more commonplace and stigma free. We aren't in a vaccum, and if you're going to beat 'em, you have to know what they're doing. It's possible to defend against a punch you don't see coming, but it's way easier if you see their moves... It’s a mindset shift I’ve noticied here in broadcast.
