i love this, except i wouldn’t call google ugly. simple, yeah. but that has its own charm. i think of yahoo more as the bad city, like the jimmy stewart town taken over with neon signs. bedford falls or whatever.

form follows function. are you about search, or 60 things? amazon is interesting this way, too. they are about 100 things, but aren’t as crowded ugly as yahoo.

FB – sucks! I mean, many things about it do, and are great. But their email interface? It was designed by 22 year olds for 22 year old eyes. how many of you can read the type you type in the FB email default interface? . .

Okay, Splendido! You win! I will allow you to challenge Randy Steinman (from CKCO) in the upcoming election of President of the OccamNation Chapter in Toronto. I’m continually reminded of *why* I read this blog, folks…and I’m going to cast my vote this instant for Ike Pigott as being one of the most whippersnapper clever people I’ve come to know exclusively online. Bless this medium. Bless Mr. Pigott. And bless Mr. Pigott’s progeny, who have one of the defter role models out there. ::: Wouldn’t I like to be the fly on the wall here, hm, when Ike dishes the life lessons? :::

The whole insightful bit about the stone floor at Wal-Mart disguising the jalopy-like carts which await the consumer multitudes streaming through Mr. Walton’s doors was just priceless! Postscript –> you’d think they’d have enough saved-up ducats to invest in top-o-the-line carts, but perhaps this isn’t in line with the expense targets for the quarter — who knows?

Have I told you how I love analyses of this ilk? I’m totally, one hundred percent hooked on His Royal Sharpness. It’s precisely these sorts of written nuggets I search for amid row upon row of strategy and leadership books, endlessly surfing the shelves of my local book chain up here in Toronto, http://www.chapters.ca. (Note to Ike: Please have a look at the “For Entrepreneurs” section for some choice streaming video interviews with members of some of this country’s 75 Most Famous and Wealthy Set). If you’re digging a great title, I recommend Diane Francis’ latest WHO OWNS CANADA NOW? ::: I’m almost done with the read…a private indulgence, truth be told, the paper-based kind are… :::
