better communication makes the complex simple
I like the Cranky Geeks, but the irony here is too delicious not to share. The title of this roundtable discussion is “Do bloggers need training in journalism?”:
At the very least, let’s get them spell-check.

In any event, I listened to it 1.333333333 (ad infinitum) times, and I was shocked by the mainstream-ness of several of the terms being discussed by the panelists (and I was jotting these down):
** blogosphere (yes, I use it as well, but look at how common it’s become! Yompin’ Yiminy!).
** Web2.0.
** Opine.
** Hammered.
I mean, these were words (as I recall them), back in the late ’90s when I was still in college, which hadn’t even been created, or in very limited usage/parlance…
Man, we’ve come a long way…and, um, btw — what was the girl’s name and why was she pumping Arrington’s site with reckless abandon? I counted three times — did anyone count more?
Mind you, the gal held her own against the Stalingrad-like blitz. Way to hold yer own, girlfriend!
