Very interesting. It’s good to hear the thoughts of an experienced media expert on a new media like Twitter.
The ‘community’ aspect is a very good idea and tools like TwitterFall are good for regional searches.

Ike, it’s the first time I come across a twitterer with his own published twitter policy. It’s what I would post in my twitter info if there was enough space. Love it, may I copy/adapt??

I thought Ike was censoring my comments but then realized they may not be posting
So here is my twitter follower policy – It’s shorter but certainly not better by any means:
1. I don’t care where you are or who you are but I do care what you are.
2. I don’t have to like or agree with you or your ideas but I do have to respect you so don’t personalize the debate.
3. If you stimulate either my amygdala or neocortex I probably will follow you.
