Nuts and Bolts:
All of my various web domains are hosted on Lunarpages (pigott.name, positiveposition.com, firehousebutts.com, shenlungkungfu.com). They are incredibly affordable and the customer service is outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone, even those who have never had their own hosting account. Lunarpages has got it all.
I am running this off a great little engine called WordPress. It’s free, and open source, and there’s thousands of talented programmers and designers who are keeping it fresh with ideas, innovations, and security. Oh, and if you don’t have a webspace of your own, you can go to WordPress.com and set up a free one.

Bells and Whistles:
Here are some of the WordPress Plugins that I have currently active –
- Akismet – Comment Spam shield
- Audio Player – makes embedding the occasional sound file a snap
- Bad Behavior – sniffs out spam tactics as the first line of defense
- Pull-Quotes – Those really cool boxes out on the side that highlight text
- Share This – Allows readers to submit links to various sites, or send e-mail to a friend
- Simpletags – makes it easy to add things within a post
- Database backup – Because you have to
Sugar and Spice:
The widgets, that allow me to re-organize with great ease:
- Feedburner Stats: Not only keeps a count, but also re-directs my default feeds to the Feedburner equivalents
- Akismet Stats: A nice reminder of all the unwanted crap you didn’t have to wade through to get to my intentional crap.
