Close, but not quite:
“more or less” refers to those rare individuals who live what we call “charmed” or “cursed” lives.
That’s why we must “proceed with faith.” I have faith in the law of regression to the mean, and over time I’ll HAVE the time to create and exploit as many great opportunities as anyone else. And so will you. And that other guy…
There is a middle ground called fairness that people can find in most situations if they look hard enough.
