Okay – so here’s a little bit of what I’ve been up to for the last couple of days.
At the American Red Cross, we’ve had some amazing pictures of what goes on in disaster – and our volunteers are usually the first to hear the tales of heroism and escape from those who seek shelter from events like the wildfires in southern California. What we haven’t had is the vehicles or the know-how to get more of these images out to the world (particularly those who would like to see the impact of their donations.)
So I’ve been putting together slideshows thanks to Slide.com – and here is our account page.
Enjoy. And feel free to steal a slideshow for your site or blog.

Wow. I spoke to a friend who lives out there. He said the scene is undescribable and he hasn’t seen the sky in days. I know this has all been widely reported, but it’s always different when you hear it from someone you know who is actually in the experience.
