Mass Communication by the Numbers

“If you want to connect through mass communication, you still have to reach people one by one. Do you feel more special being one of 5,000 eating fish, or one of the 12 drinking wine?”

  1. Ike, naturally we’d have to adapt the foodstuffs for the varying regions — some people consider wine not to be the elixir it actually is in more Latin-style countries, egs. French, Spanish, Portuguese. For some of these Central Europeans — hand ‘em a frankfurter and a mug ‘o beer, and they’re happier than a swine ‘n swill. But I dig the inventiveness — yet another example of humanity’s “unlimited resource” — the power of the mind.

  2. Of course, I’d meant it Ike Pigott-style…that one little add there…

  3. Ike says:

Thanks Adam… I know it wasn’t completely ‘culture-neutral’, but the 5,000 for fish and 12 for wine was a biblical reference.

Jesus — however you want to view him — was undeniably a great communicator.

  4. Molly says:

Ike said,”Jesus — however you want to view him — was undeniably a great communicator.

Who else would have let Himself be seen first by Mary of Magdela, “a woman”, who spread the word to everyone that He is risen from the dead.
