Content is king.
It started with a Tweet by Jeremy Meyers, that said the following:
“Ironically, content about how “Content is King” is not an example of good content.”
I responded with:
“If Content were King, then Pink would have stayed dry.”
I was referring, of course, to Pink’s performance at the Grammy Awards, where she sang partially suspended and More >

Of course, the proper name for the year is MMX. 2010. The Year We Make Contact, or some such rubbish. Start the countdown clock for the Mayan Calendar hoaxes.
I remember where I was ten years ago.
I was a member of the working media, assigned to sit at the “bunker” of the state of Alabama’s Emergency More >

We’ve got that B-Roll!
“b-roll” is the term used for the video that is brought in after-the-fact to supplement a news story or a commercial.
When I was in television news, it was considered almost sinful to rely too much on file video. We prided ourselves on writing to the video we had, and not pulling generic More >

Do you hear that thunder in the distance?
That’s the sound of ordinary people unshackling themselves from traditional one-way media. And it’s going to get louder.
If you’re a business that relies on traditional advertising models, now would be a good time to figure out where those people are going with their newfound freedom, and maybe even More >

It was time for a new look.
I liked the old look, but there was something about the old “old look” that was missing.
Yet, the “old” old look lacked several features.
This look will get some tweaking in the meantime.

One of the great things about connecting with others online is the chance to be part of some interesting discussions. Such was the case of a conversation I recently had with Andrew Fowler, one of the principles at Newsvetter in Portland.
He was concerned about the lack of truly relevant information parents were getting about the More >

I was listening to the radio on the way into work the other morning, and heard something that bothered me.
The morning hosts were extolling the virtues of a paying client, which is exactly what you would expect them to do. This client, a jeweler, had just held a “sell your scrap gold” event this past More >

No, I’m not going back to television.
But I will be a guest on “BSide with Alan Hunter and Dr. Josh“ tonight on Live 100.5.
Alan Hunter is, well… he’s Alan Hunter. Yeah, that one.
Dr. Josh Klapow is a psychology professor here in Birmingham who I had done a number of interviews with in the past, and More >

The issue here was a plugin, one that tries to minimize the load on servers by relying on Javascript libraries housed at Google.
The “Use Google Libraries” plugin needed updating, and that new version arrived tonight.
We will return you soon to pithy quotes and unusual perspectives. (Provided you have a computer monitor compatible with the new More >

Hi Ike,
I think your idea to provide radiostations with mp3-files is quite practical. I tried the same at Austrian Red Cross in the last two years and had quite good critics from the collegues at the radiostations. You will find a listz of these audiosnips at my blog (in German, off course).
Best regards from Vienna,
